The third annual Beverly Art Walk took place Saturday, October 1st, noon-7pm. The Art Walk featured work by more than 200 talented artists and artisans in 55 venues, live music, artist demonstrations, children’s activities, public art, coffee, craft beer, and free trolleys to get you to and fro. Four local artists also opened their home studios for an insight into their artistic process, inspirations, and work. The Art Walk is a free, family-friendly event and attracts more than 6,000 visitors each year.
A special thank you to The Beverly Bank, sponsor of the 2016 Community Art Project, WXRT, the official radio sponsor, and Olivia’s Garden, host of the Uprising Craft Market. The Beverly Art Walk is made possible by the generosity of our local organizations and small business community. Last year, many participating venues had their best sales day of the year and welcomed new patrons who became returning customers. Please thank them for their participation in the Art Walk by dining with them, buying their offerings, or subscribing to their services.
The Beverly Area Arts Alliance (The Alliance) cultivates collaboration between artists and community members to foster Beverly as a hub of culture and creativity on Chicago’s far Southside and as a vibrant place to live and do business.
